This exclusive early registration period will only be available to eligible 2024-2025 program participants and their immediate families. Ineligible and/or new guests that register during the early registration period will have their orders cancelled. Public registration opens on August 26.

Seasonal Lease Add-On
If you are participating in a Ski & Ride School Multi Week ski program, our Multi Week Ski Lease, for select participating programs, is the perfect add-on program in place of renting weekly.
We are streamlining our process to give you a better experience all season long, saving you money, helping you avoid lines, and extending your time on the snow during your visit.
Equipment will be available to be picked up starting in late fall/early winter – enjoy the benefits of having your own equipment without the cost.

Early Seasonal Launch Information
When will I be charged for early registration?
Seasonal Programs will be charged out to the credit card used online within 2 weeks of registration.
Can I (or my child) register early for a different seasonal program than last season?
Yes, unless there are restrictions described within the program layout above, you have access to register for any of the Seasonal Program Products offered during the early registration period at your Resort. If you would like to switch Resorts for your Seasonal Program, you will need to wait for public registration.
Please note that participants must meet the age and ability requirements for their registered program, by the start of the program.
Can other family members register early for a seasonal program if they did not participate in a previous season?
Yes, we will accommodate registrations for immediate family members (defined as legal dependents) that did not participate the previous season.
Can I share this link with someone (outside of my immediate family) who did not participate in the previous season?
No, we will be monitoring the registration for returners. Sharing the link will jeopardize your reservation in the program.
Can I register early for more than one seasonal program?
If the program dates do not conflict, you can register for multiple programs (e.g. Saturday and Sunday Program).
Can I get a partial refund if my child does not complete the program?
There are no partial refunds or rescheduling for days missed by the participant. Programs are non-transferable and refunds will not be offered once the program starts. Participants cannot switch between program days unless the program specifically offers that flexibility.
Are there any additional requirements to register for a seasonal program?
Yes, in order to be eligible for participation in the program, all participants must meet the minimum age and skill requirements as defined for each program at the start of the program.
All participants are required to have valid lift access (lift ticket or season pass) as well as ski or snowboard equipment, including a helmet if required, by the start of the program.
Can I make a special request for my child in a seasonal program?
We cannot guarantee specific instructors or that students will be in a group together. We will try our best accommodate when and where we can.
What is the birthday/age requirement for registration?
Participants must fall within the seasonal program age range (e.g. aged 7-14) on or before the first day of the program’s start date unless otherwise specified in the program specific details.
Cancellations for 3-Week Programs:
Changes or cancellations can be made in advance of your lesson date by contacting the Ski & Ride School conducting your lesson. If a 3-Week Ski & Ride School product is canceled prior to 48 hours of the program start date, a full refund will be issued. If a 3-Week Ski & Ride School product is canceled within 48 hours of the program start date a cancellation fee will be charged.

- Seasonal Programs canceled at least 30 days prior to the program start date will be issued a full refund; Seasonal Programs canceled within 30 days of the program start date will be charged the Cancellation Fee. Please see Appendix 1 in our Terms of Sale for exceptions to this policy since it varies by resort.
- The Cancellation Fee for Seasonal Programs is 50% of the program cost.
- No partial refunds or rescheduling options are available for days missed by the participant.
- Programs are non-transferable and refunds will not be offered once the program starts.
Do I need a lift ticket or season pass in order to participate in a seasonal program?
Yes - All participants of all ages and ability levels must have valid lift access (a ticket or a season pass) for every date of participation in the program. Lift access is not included in the seasonal program registration price unless specified. Please be sure to check any restricted dates relative to your chosen program dates.
Please bring any existing lift or Epic Pass media cards to support Vail Resort’s Commitment to Zero.
Do I need to purchase a season pass now for my child to register for the program?
No, you do not have to purchase a season pass at the time of purchase, but we highly encourage you to do so to lock in the best season pass rate and benefits. Lift access is not included in the seasonal program registration price unless specified.
Is ski or snowboard equipment included in the seasonal program?
Ski or snowboard equipment is required for all participants for all programs. Rental equipment is not included in the program unless specifically stated, or offered as an optional add-on at checkout.
What is the Ski and Ride School Seasonal Lease Program, and what does it include?
Season long use of equipment. Ski package includes skis, ski boots and poles. Snowboard packages (where available) include Snowboard w/bindings and snowboard boots.

Why should I participate in the Seasonal Lease Program?
Participation benefits are: 1. Season long use of product - save money compared to renting each time skiing. 2. Less time in line, avoid waiting in rental and other lines. 3. Direct hill access, avoiding congested base area operations.
Where will the Seasonal Lease Program be available for Ski and Ride School Programs?
Afton Alps, Wilmot, Hidden Valley MO, Roundtop, Whitetail, Liberty will have a ski and or snowboard lease (snowboards only available at Whitetail, Liberty, Roundtop) as the only option available for equipment to use during our Multi Week SRS programs. However, several other resorts have seasonal lease program available. Please check out your local resorts rental landing page, starting in October, to find out details.
When will the Seasonal Lease Program be available for program participants?
We strive to have Lease gear available for pickup starting in late fall/early winter and dropped off no later than April 30. However, each resort may have different timelines. See resort lease agreement for specifics. Equipment must be picked up and dropped off at the resort in which you will be attending lessons. You cannot drop them off at another resorts.
Can equipment be used at any resort before/during/after home resort season?
Yes, it has the benefit of owning without the high cost of purchasing and maintenance. However, usage must follow the guidelines of your local resorts pick up and drop off policy. Equipment must be picked up and dropped off at the resort in which you will be attending lessons.
How much does the Seasonal Lease Program Cost?
All lease programs are discounted compared to rental rates; discounts are determined by resorts depending on the average length of the resorts season. This means the average lease price will be more cost-effective than renting with each visit. Epic Mountain Reward discounts do not apply towards the lease program.
Is the Seasonal Lease Program available for children?
Yes. Our resorts offer a wide range of sizes for children.
What is the difference between an Adult and Child Seasonal Lease?
Child lease is 12 years of age and under. Adult lease is for 13 years of age and up
Do I need to have an Epic Pass or Lift Ticket to purchase the Seasonal Lease Program?
No, however, a Lift Access Product will be required for mountain access. Additionally Epic Mountain Reward discount does not apply on leases.
Are Seasonal Lease Programs refundable?
As the seasonal lease is an add-on product. It will follow the refund policy for the accompanying Ski and Ride School Product.
What if I need to cancel or change equipment?
Contact the resort the equipment was issued from for adjustments/replacement. In the event of damaged equipment there may be a repair/replacement fee.
What Gear is available as part of the Seasonal Lease program?
Alpine Skis are offered at the following resorts: Afton Alps, Wilmot, Hidden Valley MO, Roundtop, Whitetail, Liberty. Additionally, Snowboards will be offered at Liberty, Whitetail and Roundtop.
Can I bring my own boots for a lease?
We are not able to accommodate mounting guest equipment to lease gear.
Will the gear be tuned?
Yes, all lease equipment is tuned prior to the start of the season
Are Helmets included?
Helmets are not included. However, we offer a discount on the purchase of a helmet at participating Seasonal Lease Program resorts. A helmet discount is only available at the resorts where you picked up your equipment.
What if I do not wish to lease?
Rental equipment will always be available at the resort through our rental facilities. In advance, starting in October, you will need to go to your individual resort that you will be attending lessons at and book rental equipment for each day that you will be attending the Ski & Ride School lessons. For example, if you will be participating in a 3-week program, you will need to reserve rentals for the 3 separate days each guest will be attending.
** NOTE: If a minor is renting, someone over the age of 18 must sign off on the rental agreement during each rental pick up. If someone under the age of 18, without a guardian, is picking up the equipment, the minor can bring a completed and signed Minor Release of Liability Waiver to confirm that the minor has consent to rent equipment.
Are there any discounts if I rent daily?
Yes, any current Epic Passholder can rent equipment and receive their Epic Mountain Reward, which will be applied at checkout.
I am an employee of Vail Resorts. How do I access my employee discount for seasonal programs?
Many of our Seasonal Programs are offered at a discounted rate to active winter or year-round employees.
- Employees can register online, or if your resort is staffed during the registration period in-person and over the phone. Employee orders will be discounted (if applicable) and charged in-line with guest orders within 2 weeks of registration.
- In the Fall and prior to the start of the program, all employees will be verified as active for the 2025-26 season. Any additional follow up with non-active employees will occur at that time to collect the remaining balance on the order.
- Specific resorts may have specific requirements or restrictions around employee discounts for certain seasonal programs. Please check with the resort directly for more details.
